Hops have been treasured for centuries for their antibacterial and healing properties and can even reduce anxiety so the leading lights of Berlin’s independent beer scene have been putting their thinking caps on and have come up with innovative ways to make sure the city’s beer geeks can self-medicate while heeding advice to practice social distancing*. With drinking establishments forced to close to reduce the spread of the virus, bars and breweries have pivoted to operate as bottle shops and some have introduced a delivery service. Traditional revenue streams have been severely hit by the closures making it more important than ever that we support local so here’s a guide to buying beer in Berlin during the coronavirus pandemic.
